Our activities during the past year:

• January: 3-day teacher training course
• March-May: weekly music reading course
• Solfége practice sessions throughout the year. Every Thursday evening.
• Oktober: one-day Kodály pedagogical teacher training course, at the request of
  the German Association of Music Artists
• Several meetings with the DKG working groups
• DKS regulars ‘get-together’

Our upcoming next event:

Because other forms of relative solmization methods are being succesfully taught in Germany, the DKG Executive Board has decided to hold a national symposium in October 2026.

Representatives of the other solmization methods have been invited to thos symposium. Following a presentation of the various types of solmization methods, there will be a roundtable discussion. During this discussion we will seek common ground and sign a resolution to be sent to the Ministry of Education. This will pave the way for solmization instruction in elementary schools and the necessary teacher training. One or more educational workbooks will be developed. Preparation for the event are currently underway.
